The Stablehouse
is a fully furnished two-bedroom guest rental adjacent to one of the barns and stables of
the beautiful 75 acre Herold Farms in Alto Pass. The interiors have a western
theme, and a corral with indoor stalls is available for rent also. Easy access to the corral for loading and unloading horse trailers is via a circular driveway. The rental
includes a full kitchen with an outdoor patio, rose arbor and BBQ, and sleeps up to
seven people. The Stablehouse is the perfect getaway for a long weekend or a week vacation. Hunters, equestrians, hikers, vacationers and families with children are welcome! We also like pets, if well-behaved - call to tell us about your pet.
The Stablehouse
is on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, in the beautiful Shawnee National Forest and the Southern Illinois Ozarks, and next door to J&M Quarter Horses barn, the site of family and
youth rodeos and various equine events throughout the year. J&M
also provides riding lessons for all ages and summer day camp for
